Sodium Chloride -IP/BP/EP/USP is a metal halide developed using sodium and chloride. It is used to maintain nerve conduction, intracellular osmolarity, muscle contraction as well as renal function. This is available in white crystalline solid form with sodium(1+) as the counterion. This is widely used as a flame retardant and an emetic. This is an inorganic chloride and sodium salt provided in pure form.
